AFS dominicana presenta estudiantes internacionales que realizan intercambio cultural en RD y presenta campaña por la paz
American Field Service, por sus siglas (AFS), Intercambios Culturales en República Dominicana, presentó este viernes a un grupo de estudiantes internacionales que participarán durante (11) once meses, en el programa de intercambio cultural en esta región.
Estos estudiantes serán hospedados en familias anfitrionas que voluntariamente han decidido abrir las puertas de sus hogares, además de dar a conocer la trayectoria de la organización en la ciudad de La Romana y la nueva Campaña de Firmas por la Paz.
Por tal motivo, fue organizada una actividad que contó con la presencia de un selecto grupo de invitados de esta comunidad, como funcionarios gubernamentales, entre ellos el Gobernador Provincial, de la Secretaría de Educación, Turismo y Cultura, asimismo como voluntarios, familias anfitrionas y miembros de la prensa local. El evento tuvo lugar en el Restaurant El Quijote.
Al pronunciar el discurso central durante el acto, el director nacional de AFS Dominicana, Pablo Viñas, expresó su gran satisfacción por la presencia del grupo de jóvenes destacando que con su labor el cual, estarán concretizando sus expectativas de aprendizaje intelectual-
AFS (antigua American Field Service) es una organización internacional, voluntaria, no gubernamental y sin fines de lucro, que ofrece oportunidades de aprendizaje intercultural para contribuir con las personas en el desarrollo del conocimiento de las habilidades y del entendimiento necesario para crear un mundo con más justicia y paz. AFS tiene presencia en 80 países del mundo, presentes en 18 ciudades de nuestro país y una fuerza de 30,000 voluntarios y 700 profesionales en el mundo.
El programa realizado fue el siguiente:
Las palabras de bienvenida estuvieron a cargo de Marina Mercedes de Rodríguez, presidenta del comité de La Romana.
Breve charla sobre AFS y presentación del proyecto firmas por LA PAZ, a cargo de Pablo Viñas, Director Nacional AFS Dominicana.
Presentación de Walkiria Rodríguez Coordinarora de Desarrollo AFS, con los programas y experiencia de participantes con la presentación de la estudiante Maria Cébale, de Alemania.
Presentación de los estudiantes del programa 2007-2008, a cargo de la maestra de ceremonia Hilda María Peguero y entrega de Reconocimiento al Comité de La Romana.
Las palabras de agradecimiento y clausura fueron hecha por Luís Ortíz, miembro de la Junta Directiva y Asesor del Comité de La Romana, quien invitó un brindis.
El periodista y escritor romanense, Miguel Cotes, entregó a cada estudiante y directivos de la AFS, un ejemplar de su libro ENTRE LA BALANZA Y EL RIO, que es una recopilación histórica de la Provincia de La Romana.

It's so nice for me to have found this blogg of yours, it's so interesting. I read what I could. Some feel invaded and ofended that I present myself this way in their blogs and rudely insult me back or post a mockery post on me.
Some think I'm playing the smart guy who wants to profit, in my miserable and ridiculous gain with Adsense (go figure!), from and with others curiosity and benevolence.
Some simply ignore me.
Some aknowledge that It's most important we all take notion that there's milions of us bloguing arownd the world and thus vital any kind of awareness such as I believe this my self-introduction card and insert apeal brings in.
May you be one of those open and friendly spirits.
You must not feel obliged to come and visit me. An invitation is not an intimation. Also know that if you FOR A SECOND click on one of my ads I'm promised to earn a couple of cents for that: I would feel happy and rewarded (because I realy unemployedly need it!!!) if you did click it FOR A SECOND, but once again you're totaly free to do what ever you want. I, for instance, choose immediatly to click on one of your ads, in case you have them. To do so or not, that's the whole beauty of it all, however, blogocitizens must unite also by clicking-helping eachother when we know cybermegacorporations profit from our own selfishness regarding to that simple click.
About this I must say, by my own experience, that no one realy cares (maybe a few) about this apeal I make, no one gives a fucking shit about it and you certainly will confirm this rule, but you must believe me: I love to visit new bloggs every day from all over the world, I've learned and seen a lot after more than 10.000 bloggs I've visted in three months. And I will, like Titanic's Kate, keep on and on and on.
Still I believe in my Work and Dreams and thus
I'll keep on apealing and searching
so strong is my will.
I think it's to UNITE MANKIND that we became bloggers! Don't see language as an obstacle but as a challenge (though you can use the translater BabelFish at the bottom of my page!) and think for a minute if I and the rest of the world are not expecting something like a broad cumplicity. Remenber that pictures talk also. Open your heart and come along!!!!!
